Prioritize the To-do List

Work Your List
Start off each day with the fist task on your list. Focus on completing task number one until you have it completed. Do not move on to the next item of your list until you have finished the previous task. Each time you finish an item cross it off, then move on to the next item. Realize that you are not always going to make it to every task on your list. This is OK and is precisely why the list is in order of importance.
Avoid Distractions
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that since your business is Internet-based that anything and everything you’re doing online is work related. If lurking in online forums or responding to personal emails is not making you money, then avoid doing it during your work hours.
Create a Workspace
If possible, create a workspace in your home that is separate from other areas of the house. When it’s time to work, go to your work area and shut out the rest of the house – be it your pets or distractions such as the TV. Having an area specifically for work helps you to get in the work mode, which can be less challenging to your discipline.
Create Work Time
It also helps to create a work schedule. If you’re a morning person, make your work time from 5 am to 1 pm. If you’re more of an afternoon or evening person, then set your hours accordingly. When you have a set work schedule, it helps you to stay disciplined because when the specified hour rolls around, you know that it’s time to go to work.
