The Rise of Thermography – Infrared and Thermal Imaging Cameras
Thermal Imaging Cameras are being used more and more across varied and numerous industries as an aid and a preventative tool. From building surveys, to night vision, to manufacturing and engineering process monitoring. With escalating energy prices and an increased responsibility for us all to lower our carbon footprint, Thermal Imaging is being used more an more to survey buildings for energy efficiency. According to the BBC, in West Oxfordshire, volunteers are being trained to use thermal imaging cameras to help reduce energy bills. Affordable, hand held Thermal Imaging Cameras can be pointed at homes to identify spots where heat is escaping. A report is then drawn up advising householders where to improve insulation.
