Many would be entreprenuers have heard a lot about Internet based MLM opportunities and since they’ve probably gotten involved in other Internet opportunities, they want the inside story as to whether they are scams or legitimate opportunities.

First of all, let’s look at what Network Marketing (MLM) really is. Network Marketing is a very viable way to build a business. The concept is simple, you get people, they get people…etc. The marketing model is great way to build a long term sustainable income for you and your loved ones.

The problem, as I’m sure you’ll agree, is the traditional method of recruiting that you’ve been taught or have heard about. Everyone has an opinion about Network Marketing and most opinions are based on the outdated method of recruiting. You bug your friends and family to watch a DVD, listen to a tape, read a magazine, get on a 3 way call, or go to a meeting. Sound familiar? The problem here is that NOBODY wants to do this anymore!

But this doesn’t negate the Network Marketing model. It still works, if you work it. You can still make a fantastic living from home without all the stress and headaches of approaching everyone you know.

Wouldn’t it be cool if you could sit in front of your computer at home, build a huge organization, and not bug anyone you know until they see your success and ask YOU about it? Of course it would! The key lies in HOW you market your opportunity. And using established Internet marketing methods is how you do that.

To put it simply, you market your opportunity on the Internet, not face to face.

First of all you need to find a company that has great products and great training to match. It needs to have a truly easy and duplicatable Internet marketing system that your downlines can use.

These companies are out there, you just have to find them. Let’s face it, if you can recruit like crazy on the Internet but your downline cannot duplicate what you do, then your organization and income will not grow. Then you’ll be back where you started, cursing MLM as a scam because you didn’t make any money with it.

Many famous authors (millionires) are now writing articles about the advantages of the Network Marketing model and some go as far as to say that if they lost their fortunes, they would use the Network Marketing model to rebuild. What does that tell you?

The most effective way to make a living with MLM is to find the right company and use tried and true Internet marketing principles to market the opportunity. This method flat out WORKS and you don’t have to bug and cajole anyone to go to meetings or do 3 way calls. Your business will grow and flourish and you’ll be smiling all the way to the bank!

Do you manage your time effectively? How do you spend your time each day? Proper time management is an integral part of being a MLM entrepreneur. But this can be very challenging as there are many things craving your attention.

On the business front alone, many different tasks must be performed each day-responding to emails or communicating with customers and prospects in some other way, engaging in networking activities, marketing your products, and keeping yourself informed about happenings in your industry.

And for most persons, there is also the need to balance the demands of running a business with the needs of one’s family. Striking a balance in all these can seem daunting.

Now, what does proper time management involve? Do not bother your head with how this is defined in academic circles. The most practical way to look at time management is that it involves organizing one’s tasks, prioritizing the tasks, and succeeding with the tasks in terms of completing them on time.

Begin by tracking your activities for a few days, starting from when you wake up till bedtime. Try and list out all the things you typically do in the course of each day. I bet you will be surprised how much time is wasted each day on non-essentials, non-business-related activities.

Next you need to prioritize your activities. What things must be done before others can make any sense? Identify that first step and perform it first. Remember that details of certain tasks become evident only after the first stages have been accomplished.

Also, if you take a closer look, you will discover that there are always bits of activities that will not hurt anybody if they are not done now or today-such as responding to an email or charting with a friend on the web or on phone. Such activities and similar non-urgent tasks should be postponed until vital tasks are done.  

Finally, perform the tasks. Having organized what tasks need to be done, and having arranged them in order of importance, your next step is to swing to action and do the work. Resist the habit of procrastinating clearly-identified tasks. Remember that procrastination is the thief of time.

And we are talking time management here. So if you must manage your time well, hate procrastination. Do not wait until such a time when you could perform the tasks perfectly. Perfection sometimes acts as the enemy of achievement because it prevents people from starting.

First off perspective…Failing is a good thing…What?  You heard me right failing is a good thing because this means you are taking action.  Without action nothing happens.  Failing also teaches you what did not work adding to your knowledge.  With each failure you gain a step closer to achieving your goal through better performance.  Don’t confuse failing with quitting.  Quitting means you have decided to take no action, therefore nothing happens and you gain no further knowledge or increased quality in performance.

Second is training…this is where another breakdown occurs.  Let me use the example of Tiger Woods.  In the golfing world no one compares in the level of continuous training…am I right?  Who wins more events and titles than Tiger, no one that’s who?  If you desire success in MLM, Home Business, or Network Marketing what makes you any different?  Without the proper training you won’t get the results simple as that.  So ask yourself…did I get the training?  Did I accept the training?  Did I apply the training?  Chances are the answer is NO!

The last piece is knowledge.  Knowledge comes from accepting the training, learning the skills & methods, acquiring the perspective and then applying them all together through action.  With these bases covered your performance level will increase exponentially.  Performance is what really matters in giving value and that is based on your training and knowledge.  No secret here…this is how everyone gets better at anything.
