I work as a senior business systems analyst for a large corporation and have focused primarily in the area of Business Intelligence for about three years. I would recommend this book to the business analyst over the systems engineer.

Even if you are not working directly on a Business Intelligence project, this book is a must-read for all business analysts. The book is readable and correctly emphasizes the importance of quality requirements and analysis. Business analysts should always be thinking about better ways for their stakeholders to make decisions and run their organizations. Swain gives great insights and suggestions for requirements elicitation and analysis. He also explains the overall discipline at a level everyone should be aware of.
