Generations ago work meant churning butter and curing meat. For males it meant going on the hunt to obtain a means to eat. Well, we've come a long way, as the options have turned into offices and corporate facilities. Keeping this in mind one has to conclude that there must have been an intense dedication to bringing home the bacon (literally) in the past. Studying for a degree didn't focus on a field until later in the college career because most of the time was spent covering the basics. These people are tried and true workaholics because they ask for extra work, look to help others, and do an all-around great job. They believe that no job is done right unless it's done by them. Some of this motivation is for personal advancement, but many times it's for the feeling of accomplishment. Life is tough and the grind is worse. Working everyday causes stress and strain on both the worker and employer. Therefore, it's a great plan to have an interest in the employees' complaints. Their ability to produce is dependent upon a responsive environment and one that can be prepared for the issues they face. As an employer the responsibility lies in the fact that the conditions must be controlled for.
