Internet Business Opportunities: How to recognize a Scam

A good many individuals are looking for ways to earn additional income over the Internet, but have yet to make a move in order to do so.

So what gives? You may ask. If opportunity is so abundant over the Internet why aren't these would be entrepreneurs willing to dive right in? Well instead of taking the plunge and achieving success, many people are fearful they may be just taking a nose dive into financial ruin. This is due to the fact that along with opportunity comes the appearance of financial advantage through the form of a scam.

So how do you tell if it's too good to be true?

The following points should be looked upon as cause for concern:

1. The company you are reviewing requires you to sign up or join them, yet appears to have no product. In other words, you are merely paying to join the company.
2. The company promises you some form of compensation if you sign up with them.
3. Be wary of companies who have websites that looks as though they were put together quickly; or appear unpolished or unprofessional.
4. You only receive recorded information and are never able to speak to a live human being. If you leave countless messages on their answering systems and never receive a follow up call, how likely will it be that they are going to offer you support should you sign up?

The next question that is generally posed is: What characteristics should I look for in a business opportunity when investigating various companies? The following factors should be considerations when reviewing any income opportunity:

1. When selling products online, the products should be specific to the market. In other words, within the online arena for example digital information products are significantly preferred. Digital products can be made available to customers immediately upon receipt of payment.
2. The next consideration and regardless of cost,the company website you are reviewing should look as though the organization put some time and thought into it. You will want to mark companies off your list that appear to have put their sites up in a hurry with no thought given to format or content.
3. Should you have additional questions about products, services or the way you are paid, a live person should be available to you in order to address these questions;
4. The compensation plan should allow you the opportunity to create substantial wealth when you apply yourself to predetermined wealth building strategies. The company's business model has been proven to be successful for those individuals who commit to work within its framework.
5. Training as to products/services and always to produce income is made readily available to individuals who decide to work within the organization. Additionally, on-going support will be instrumental as to your level of success.

In finding the right Internet opportunity, you are doing yourself and your family a favor. In locating the best online opportunity or home business you can do many things with the flexibility you are afforded. You may choose the location where you will conduct your work activities, you can decide upon your own schedule of work; working only when it is most convenient or productive (for you);
1. You are able to effectively distribute your resources with regard to time, investment, and work activity. This in and of itself is a huge advantage because the more proficient you become in leveraging all three of these essential resources, the greater your advantage in establishing the foundation of wealth.
2. Additionally the commitment to time, when working with a proven system is not as great as when you are working for someone else within the "brick and mortar" world. Once you become proficient and knowledgeable in what you are doing, a minimal number of hours per day with regard to your home business may be sufficient.

Probably the biggest inherent problem that exists with on-line marketing, outside of running into on-line scams is the fact individuals will not commit to the few prescribed hours per day to make their income opportunity work.

Therefore, once you have determined that the company you are researching is not a scam, put your best foot forward and give one-hundred percent effort. You will reap the rewards if you do.

The Re-Emergence of Entrepreneurship

The current recession has brought about many buzzwords in the media; recession-proof, recessionista, and the great recession are just some of the many words that have been thrown around in news stories and blogs over the past year. Countless articles have been published inquiring about what people are doing now, when the job market is at its worst. Some people continue their schooling, others stay locked into jobs they can’t stand. One topic that hasn’t been explored as widely during this time is that of entrepreneurship. As the economy continues to rollercoaster, there are many who seem immune to it, building a business from the ground up despite advice warning against it.

When news of a market downturn first started making headlines a few years ago, few people gave it much thought. But when reality hit, few knew what to do. For those who had a vision and the ambition to do so, they employed themselves by doing something they loved. Although a bad economy may not seem like the best time to be a small business owner, it has actually been good news for many. In a piece for Harvard Business Publishing, New Mountain Ventures founders Christopher Gergen and Gregg Vanourek write,

“Many people assume that entrepreneurs are allergic to recessions. It turns out that downturns can be times of tremendous opportunity–and, yes, profit–for entrepreneurs. But only if they play their cards right.”

The entrepreneurial spirit has taken hold among people all over the country looking to break out of the everyday and be their own boss. Entrepreneurship inspires creativity, allows someone to become incredibly passionate, and bring something new to the world. Those who recognize the potential in a recession—most important being decreased barriers to entry and the need for new businesses—will reap the rewards.

CNN recently published a piece on a history of businesses born during economic downturns, citing examples of...

Invention, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

In this work I will explore the importance of innovation and the creative endeavor in Asia that leads to entrepreneurship. We also discuss how entrepreneurship develops new ideas and, from heir ideas, establish new enterprises that add value to Asian society.

If creativity is the seed that inspires entrepreneurship, innovation is the process of entrepreneurship. Enterpreneurers are often thought to be “inspired” people, and perhaps they are, but more important, they often recognize changes and opportunities that can result from a dynamic world. Innovation is an important factor of entrepreneurship for every leader. It is defined as the process of doing new things. Therefore, it is often the active translation of a creative idea into a new product, service, or technology. Drukers writes that “innovation…is the means by which the entrepreneur either creates new wealth-producing resources or endows existing resources with enhanced potential for creating wealth.”
